Fast-Tracking a Megaproject with Preliminary Design-Based Unit Price Contracts

Thursday, September 17 2026
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

In most major industrial projects, the items purchased first will be installed last. In the current world of extremely fast-paced technical development, private companies investing in their industrial plants want them operational as fast as possible. So, how do you squeeze the timeline between main equipment procurement and installation, given that the main equipment will define the civil, structural, and balance-of-plant design solutions?

Supported by two case studies from Northern Finland, this webinar will challenge the progressive minds of CM professionals who aim to deliver the most value for the Owners by thinking outside of the box. While the model presented is not ready-to-use for public sector projects, the audience of this webinar is encouraged to act as the Devil's Advocate, challenging the proposed approaches to addressing the Owners' needs and reflecting on how to implement this model in public projects.Ìý
